As the headline says, this was a competitive match between two evenly matched teams with lots of great hockey and a nail biting conclusion. If there's a blueprint for what Development hockey ought to look like then this was it. Every player on the pitch should be pleased with their performance and they all improved a little bit today!
It was sometimes scrappy, sometimes free-flowing, end to end hockey with total possession and chances just shaded by North Norfolk. Both teams had chances to win with North Norfolk winning consecutive short corners in the last minute of the game which were ultimately well defended by Magpies.
As always, thank you so much to all the parents for braving the weather conditions to give their support.
A special mention this week to U10 player Beattie and to U12 players Lola and Izzie on for their Dev's League debuts. You were fantastic!
No goals this week for North Norfolk and the Girl of the Game was Bronte.
