It was a clash of the two most coastal clubs in the Development League at Great Yarmouth this morning and what began shrouded in festive mist ended in a lovely, sunny day for hockey. North Norfolk played a high press throughout the match and enjoyed the bulk of the possession, with all the girls holding their positions beautifully. It was a hard fought first half and Yarmouth were very dangerous on the break, with the North Norfolk defenders and goalkeeper called into action and responding brilliantly on numerous occasions. After the break, the energy in midfield and movement up front was phenomenal and the momentum swung in our favour. All in all another very strong team performance with girls playing in multiple positions throughout the match whilst retaining their shape and balance. Well done girls!
A special mention to Kiki for throwing an incredible aerial midway through the second half.
Goal scorers for NN were Alice G (4), Phoebe (2) and Bronte. Girl of the Game was Phoebe.
