Harleston is renowned for being one of the toughest places in the East for away teams to play and with an amazing youth system which feeds so many players into their National League first team, we expected and got a competitive match against a well coached opposition.
We are delighted with our performance and the way the girls played was very impressive. We retained our shape throughout the match and considering that our last competitive fixture was as a hockey sevens match at an Under 11's tournament around twenty months ago, the transition to eleven-a-side hockey was phenomenal. The girls played as team, encouraged one another, worked the ball into space and played the channels beautifully. All in all it was a super performance, well done everyone!
The final score was 1-9 but league rules state that a winning margin cannot be more than 5 goals, so will be reported as 1-6. Goalscorers for North Norfolk were: Bella 3, Drew 2, Kiki 2, Phoebe 2
