On a deceptively chilly Spring evening at Sheringham, North Norfolk Dev's Girls completed their debut season in front of a bumper crowd of over twenty spectators. The starting eleven was comprised of mainly U12's and U10's girls and what a fabulous job they did of filling the astros of the U13's girls who have made this season such a success. The girls slotted in to the system seamlessly, kept thier positions beautifully, defended doggedly, passed, moved and made the future of North Norfolk Hockey look positively dazzling!
This match marked the end of a long season in which the girls have played fourteen matches and scored seventy six goals. Twenty nine different girls have played, two have progressed to the ladies teams, seven have been selected to represent their County. The team finished the season as runners-up, all pre-season targets were achieved long ago and most importantly they've played with smiles on their faces, danced a lot and made hockey fun!
Thanks to all parents for transporting the girls around the hockey pitches of East Anglia all season and best of luck for next season!
Two fantastic debuts today from Tilly and Nell. Goalscorers for NN were Darcy(2), Bronte and Izzie. Girl of the Game was Lola.
