In their opening league fixture, North Norfolk 3s faced off against UEA 4s. A few changes to last season's team saw 3 league debuts as Alfie Edwards, Craig Grice and Graham Vann took to the field for the first time
From the off the game played out fast and frantically with each side trading blows but as half time loomed, UEA went in leading 3-1 after Jonny Mills fired in North Norfolks only reply despite some good attacking play
After the break North Norfolk came out strong and managed to draw level through another from Jonny Mills and Andrew Whitby, but once again found thrmselves on the back foot. At 4-3 down Snowy, best known for his defensive duties, risked a nosebleed and ventured up top to bolster our attacking options and was vindicated when young Alfie Edwards impressively made space and evaded 2 UEA players to set up the goal
For the final 10 minutes both sides continued to trade blows as the pace of the game started to show but neither side looked like landing the final blow, until Jonny Mills once again found space in the UEA area and rifled a high shot into the net and seal the victory in a game where resolve was tested and found to be up to the task
