The 2s looked to carry on their promotion push at home to third place Norfolk Nomads 1s. North took early control of the game, dominating possession. Though despite this though failed to get an early goal. This theme continued throughout the half with North unable to convert any of their numerous opportunities through a combination of solid defending, some excellent goal keeping and some rather questionable decision making and finishing in the final third.
The second half began with a bit more wasteful finishing before the game was delayed when a Nomads defender suffered a very nasty looking hand injury that required a immediate trip up the road to A and E. Shortly after the restart, with Nomads now down to 10, Alfie Edwards finally opened the scoring from close range. This was quickly followed when James Hammond added a second from the edge of D and Will Faye slid in a third. Leon Waldron then rounded off the scoring with fourth before Nomads hit back, winning a short on the final play. This quickly became a flick after a foot on the line. However keeper Callum Wilson kept it out to ensure it finished 4-0. The win sees them 6 points clear with just two games left to play.
