The 2s welcomed a youthful UEA side to Cromer after a late switch of venues.
NN started well, immediately putting the students under pressure. This resulted in a couple of short corners but were unable to convert. However UEA then struck back with a well worked goal on the counter to take the lead . North responded and Craig Grice scrambled home a equaliser after James Hammond's shot came back off the post. Both sides continued to have chances before Ryan Ely smashed home from close range, following good work from Alex Robinson, right on the stroke of half time.
UEA came out after half time searching for an equaliser and it took a couple of splendid saves from Dale Bartram to keep them at bay. North still looked dangerous on the attack, but were limited in opportunities as UEA began to have the lions share of possession. However NN got the next goal when Alfie Edwards finished off a counter attack, Robinson again the provider. UEA then really piled on the pressure and pulled one back but NN held firm to grind out the win.
