All Club Members - Please Read

Hello All,

Following the last Committee meeting called to discuss the subs, the following information was decided upon:

Subs and Club Income/Expenditure

Essentially, the Club income from last year was £2000 down. This was due to increase in costs, some Club expenditure and less money raised through fundraising. You are able to view the full breakdown of accounts on Pitchero from the AGM. This imbalance needs addressing and with essential requirements for investment and development, it is imperative that Subs go up in order to address this issue. If we continue as we are, there will be no Club in a few years. Therefore an annual payment package has been set up to include payment for match fees, subs and training fees which if option 1 is your membership of choice, it saves you £40 across the season (please see the breakdown below) and allows for all match fees to be paid in advance and in one go, or in 4 separate direct debit payments. This hugely assists the Clubs budget requirements and allows for future investment. All payments are to be made either by BACS or via Pitchero.

Pitch and Training

Cromer pitch is having work completed on the pitch and the changing rooms. Therefore the pitch is not available until Monday 5th September - this is when the schools go back. We have attempted to find an alternative for training but pitches are used by holiday Clubs. There were also fears that there might be delays in the work, and long term future plans for a 4G pitch which is not suitable for hockey. However we have been assured that the pitch will be available from the stated date, and that prices remain the same for us at present. Therefore:

- Adult training will start at Beeston Hall School on Tuesday 13th and Monday 27th August 7pm until 9pm. There is one training session at Sheringham High School on Tuesday 3rd September. It will then move back to Cromer Academy pitch on Monday 9th September between 7-9pm.
- Junior training will remain at Sheringham High School on Tuesdays.
- Fitness training has started - every Thursday at the Tennis Club from 7pm and will continue through to training.

We have a number of coaches now who will rotate the training, and plan according to those that are attending, but the first hour will be drills across the whole club, with team specific focused training in the last hour, or an occasional game.

Goal keeper training will also be planned every two weeks from 9th September. Again it is essential that you mark up your availability for this on Pitchero in order to allow for planning.

Pitchero

This is where our website and Club is based primarily online. This is where all Captains will organise their teams from this season, all information is available to all members of the Club and most payments are to be made (other option is via BACS). Please ensure you mark up availability on Pitchero for training, matches, fitness etc. This all help hugely building training plans to suit everyone and save time for Captains planning teams. Most payments will be made through Pitchero to assist the Treasurer and negate the use of cash.

Fundraising

Club Casino Night date has been moved to Saturday 23rd November. Please purchase your tickets through Pitchero or contact Rachel. It’s our main fundraising event and is open to everyone, not just Club members so bring your friends, neighbours, families etc!
