North Norfolk returned to fortress Cromer and put in an excellent all-round team display to take all 3 points against their visitors. NN started on the front foot with Rachel Miles again dominating in midfield and were ahead early when good work down the right saw Ellen Vanlint cross for Sue Whiteley to score with a typical poachers finish. Soon after a quick break down the left with good work from a Hannah Catling saw Lucy Spencer slip Ellen Vanlint through and she put the ball past the on rushing keeper. The Peterborough keeper was keeping them in the game with some great saves, but she could do nothing with Hanna Halls great finish into the roof of the net to make it 3-0. Lucy Spencer then got in on the act with a great solo goal dribbling through a number of defenders and squeezing the ball in at the near post. 4-0 at half time and with goalkeeper Sarah Powell only having the one save to make, North Norfolk were in confident mood going into the second half. Jo Todd and Julie mercer pushed on well from left and right back and a quick break in the first 10 mins saw Lucy Spencer set up Charlotte Fiske to score. 5-0, and at this point the shackles were off with centre backs Rebecca Hart and Zoe Gotts galloping forward to join in. A well worked short corner goal and Charlotte Fiske get her second to make it 6-0. Peterborough got a couple of late goals back towards the end of the game as North Norfolk took their foot off the gas but it did not take the shine off a fantastic team performance with every player playing a part. Bring on next week.
