Dozen to the good

North Norfolk Mens II put a dominant performance in the top of the table clash with Dereham 2. North came out the blocks flying and played with movement and pace that was too much for the Dereham to manage with. Robinson and Edwards up top were a constant handful and with good backing from the midfield of Whitby, Culverwell, Grice and Hammond, North scored eight first half goals. Whilst a solid defence of Farrow, Vail, Jackson and Freeman ensured Waldron had very little to do in goal.
Dereham came out and took the game to North in second half, scoring from a well struck short corner. This brought North back to life and saw some of the urgency of the first half return leading to four more goals. Dereham pulled back one more from another short corner on the last play of the game but that didn’t take away from what was an excellent team performance. The game finished 12-2 with Robinson x4, Grice x3, Hammond x2, Edwards x2 and Whitby the goal scorers.
