What’s going on in our club..

As we get firmly into 2019 I thought I’d give you an update from the committee.

Having held a meeting on Wed this week, I would like to welcome two new members to our NNHC committee. Sandra Cox has taken on the role of Club Secretary, and Justin Freemen has on the role of Public Relations Officer. Thank you both for stepping up.
We are very keen to drive the club forward to attact new players, publicise our juniors and increase the number of umpires and coaches we have. If you have any ideas to facilitate these targets please feel free to bring them to any committee member, or if you fancy joining us we are always looking for people to help run the club and join the committee.

Training numbers have tapered off a little, with the lights out of action at Cromer till mid Feb we are training on a TUESDAY night at Sheringham High School. Please try your best to attend, it’s always more fun with a few more people there.

Juniors is running very well still. They have taken part in numerous tournaments this season and that will carry on into the new year. Next fixture 24th Feb, good luck all playing.

We have one new umpire in the club. Justin Freeman has completed the course recently, and Stevie is working hard to arrange for Rachel S, Robey, Reis and myself to get assessed ASAP. Radio mics are being ordered this week too.

We have the two ladies teams sitting top of their leagues, and we are driving for a double promotion for them. Men’s 1s are working hard to stay in the top three, and the men’s 2s and 3s are doing likewise to stay out of the bottom three. Keep up the good positive work all.

Lastly a SOCIAL.. we would like to hold an informal Players Meeting on Sat 23rd Feb at 2pm. This will give everyone in our club the opportunity to come together for a chat and have a say in how we can move our lovely little club forward to new heights.

After this at 4:45pm, England play Wales in the Six Nations so we have booked the tennis club to stay on there and have a few drinks while watching the game.
Please put the date in the diary, more details nearer the time.
