A well earned point

On an incredibly wet (and sometimes haily) day, the Mens 3s took on Watton 2s in what proved to be a very tough midfield battle for the most part

The start of the game foretold the pattern of the game, Watton having comfortable possesion in the middle without really threatening the seasoned backline of Snowy, Steve Mills and Martin Lambkin and North Norfolk looking to hit on the counter attack

Despite a few chances at both ends the teams went in at half-time with the score still at a deadlock

The start of the second half carried on in similar fashion, both teams probing without finding the finishing touch until, with around 20 minutes to go, North Norfolk won their first short corner which was expertly dispatched by Ryan Ely to take the lead

This brought Watton out on the offensive and in the last 10 minutes after a constant barrage, stand-in keeper Jonny Mills was beaten from a short corner to level the scores and thats the way it ended, a fair reflection on both teams

MoM - Russell Broughton for his all action running and defensive display
