Stomach meet Butterflies, Butterflies meet Stomach.

North Norfolk Ladies 1st welcome City to their fortress where they have only conceded 3points all season.

Nerves were clear to be seen in the changing room early doors with the evident late arrival of Rachel Miles..

Things took a turn for the worst with Julie Mercer, who is having a Fantastic season as right back straining her back in the warm up, heroically ended up playing on through the whole match.

With a slightly altered line up of Charlotte Fiske as centre midfield and Rachel Miles in centre defence stopping anything that came her way North looked strong and dominated the first half.
The first goal came with some attacking play from Hannah Wait who has returned after a 16 month knee surgery rest, Ellen Turvey who has literally just welcomed gorgeous Alfie into our world and of course the legendary super speedy Lucy Spencer who was on top form today.

1-0 half time.

It was clear from the whistle that City meant business and soon equalised 1-1.

Sarah Powell took the field at half time, allowing Miles to move up and perform her magic in the middle of the park and Fiske to perform her signature attacking runs up front.

This was the motivation North Needed to turn up the tempo and two goals followed in quick succession again, with Hannah Wait finding the back of the net from some awesome team efforts to win her well deserved hatrick.

However, if we thought we were safe, City had over ideas, the wonderfully talented and fast youth of the city team tested the North defence and quickly responded with 2 more goals, 3-3 and 6 minutes to go..

All guns blazing North Norfolk went for the win and won a short corner. With their super striker Captain off the pitch plan B was required!...
Some well timed passing around the city defence gave the fabulous Hannah Catling that opportunity she'd been waiting for to score the well deserved winning goal!

With Lisa Trussell, Rebecca Hart and Julie Mercer strong in defence, Hannah Catling running her socks off in the midfield and Lucy Spencer having a absolutely priceless performance North deservingly took the 3 points to keep them top of the table with 2 games remaining!

Come on girls we can do it!
